If you do not wish to appear in Court, you must pay the amount of the fine
listed for your offense before your Court date. Payment can be
made in person at the Clerk of Court's Office or by mail. The Clerk's
Office is open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Payment
by credit card, personal check or money order is
acceptable, made payable to Lima Municipal Court. If you pay by mail,
sign the waiver that appears on your citation and then send the signed
citation along with your payment to the address listed
above.
There is a $5.00 fee applied to credit card payments.

You must show proof of insurance in effect at the time of
the citation.
All persons charged with a waiverable offense or
offenses may, within seven (7) days of issuance of the citation:
- Appear in person at the Traffic Violations Bureau to sign the plea of
guilty and waiver of trial provision that appears on your citation, and
pay the amount of the fine.
- Sign the plea of guilty and waiver of trial provision that appears on
your
citation. Mail it to the address shown above along with your check or
money order, in the amount of the fine, made payable to the Lima Municipal
Court.
The following offenses require a Court appearance:
- A third or more moving violation within a twelve ( 12 ) month period.
- Any felony or indictable offense.
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and / or drugs of abuse.
- Driving without being licensed.
- Passing a school bus that is stopped and loading or discharging
children.
- Willfully eluding and fleeing from a Police Officer.
- Drag racing.
- Leaving the scene of an accident.
- Driving during suspension.
- Speeding 36 MPH or over in a school zone.
